Reason why I love teaching #9: Kids make everything fun

This demo really isn’t all that. With a better-bubble-blower I could momentarily explode the ceiling. But I love combustion regardless because the KIDS make it fun. They shout. They stand on desks for a better view. They beg to make it bigger, bigGER, BIGGER. Whether or not they know it, they are experiencing sensation. Real senses, awakened for a moment from a technological trance. A simple explosion that lasts a second or two becomes an invitation to step out of an ever-expanding virtual world and find our place again in the real, physical one.

Or maybe it is just plain fun.
